AK Labradors is dedicated to producing the best quality puppies we can for both the show ring and to make quality pets. We have a few litters each year, with careful planning that ensures each puppy’s quality, health, and potential. Our philosophy is quality over quantity, focusing on each puppy’s temperament and how they can improve the breed for generations to come. Every pairing is selected with care, considering each dog’s health, temperament, and lineage.
Our Labrador puppies come in black or yellow and are highly sought-after, and we work on a first-come, first-served basis. We’ll start with a friendly interview to make sure you and one of our puppies are the right fit. Puppy prices begin at $4,000 and we require a $500 non-refundable deposit at three weeks to reserve your puppy.
Please review our purchase agreement for more details. If you have questions about our puppies, please feel free to reach out.
Our started dogs include everything that comes with our puppies, along with the added time, care, and training invested in their development. They receive additional veterinary care and are up to date on vaccines—usually fully vaccinated by five months—so you can skip the vet for a year. They are also microchipped, up to date on heartworm prevention, and, if necessary, flea and tick prevention.
All our started dogs are sweet, well-socialized with people and other dogs, and ready to be your new best friend. They also receive foundational leash and crate training, ensuring they are well-prepared to transition smoothly into their new homes.
The same purchase agreement we use for puppies applies to our started dogs.
Pricing for started dogs begins at $5,000, reflecting the extensive effort and resources dedicated to making them more prepared for family life than a young puppy.
AK Labrador puppies begin going to new homes at 9 weeks.
Our dedication goes beyond producing great pets for families. AK Labradors regularly produces the next generation of dogs for the blind with two primary groups, Pilot Dogs in Columbus, Ohio and Leader Dog in Rochester, Michigan. The puppies and dogs sold to these groups undergo extensive training – up to two years – and are then placed with a “partner.” It gives us great joy to see our puppies and dogs go out into the world and potentially make a difference in someone’s life.
